Inspiring Thoughts of

Swami Vivekananda on Education and Society ~ Part - 1

If you have assimilated five ideas and made them your life and character, you have more education than any man who has got by heart a whole library.

Inspiring Thoughts of

Swami Vivekananda on Education and Society ~ Part - 2

Education, education, education alone! Travelling through many cities of Europe and observing in them the comforts and education of even the poor people, there was brought to my mind the state of our own poor people, and I used to shed tears. What made the difference? Education was the answer I got.

What we want is this Sraddha. Unfortunately, it has nearly vanished from India, and this is why we are in our present state.

Inspiring Thoughts of

Swami Vivekananda on Education and Society ~ Part - 2

We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on ones own feet.

See GOD in all

This is the gist of all worship to be pure and to do good to others. He who sees Siva in the poor, in the weak, and in the diseased, really worships Siva, and if he sees Siva only in the image, his worship is but preliminary. He who has served and helped one poor man seeing Siva in him, without thinking of his caste, creed, or race, or anything,

with him Siva is more pleased

than with the man who sees Him only in temples.

YOU ARE THE CREATOR OF YOUR DESTINY

Stand up, be bold, be strong. Take the whole responsibility on your own shoulders, and know that you are the creator of your own destiny. All the strength and succor you want is within yourself. Therefore, make your own future. YOU ARE THE CREATOR OF YOUR DESTINY

WIPING THE TEARS IS MY RELIGION

I do not believe in a God or religion which cannot . . . bring a piece of bread to the orphan's mouth. However sublime be the theories, however well-spun may be the philosophy I do not call it religion so long as it is confined to books and dogmas.

LOOK FORWARD FOR SUCCESS

Don't look back

forward,
infinite energy, infinite enthusiasm, infinite daring, and infinite patience then alone can great deeds be accomplished.
