Management Control System (MCS) evaluates the performance of various resources of the Organization like Human, Physical, Financial etc, based on the Information available

MCS influences the behavior of the organizational resources to implement the Organizations Strategies

Hospital
Hospital means an institution in which sick or injured persons are treated

A modern hospital is an institution which possesses adequate accommodation and well-qualified and experienced personnel to provide services of curative, restorative and preventive character of the highest quality possible to all people. It also conducts educational and training programs for the personnel particularly required for medical care and hospital service
The institute conducts research assisting the advancement of medical service and hospital services In hospitals, therefore, the endeavor is to provide the best possible facilities to the patients within the hospitals resources

Classification of Hospitals
Central Government: All hospitals administered by the Government of India, viz. hospitals run by the railways, defense, or public sector undertakings by Indian Government State Government: All hospitals administered by the state government authorities and public sector undertakings operated by state government Local Bodies: All hospitals administered by local governments, viz. the rural and basic health Centre (Primary Health Care Canter), dispensaries. Private: All private hospitals owned by an individual or by a private organization. Voluntary organization: All hospitals operated by a voluntary body/a trust/charitable society Corporate body: A hospital ran by a public limited company. Its shares can be purchased by the public and dividend distributed among its shareholders

Control Measures
Patients Care Identify and record the cases which took more than the normal time for patient to recover, analyze such cases on Half yearly/yearly basis, and take corrective / preventive actions ( Training & Development, Recruitment of more skilled Doctors, Use of Updated Technology ) Maintenance Record the % Downtime of the equipment / facility such as Power, Diagnostic Equipments etc, and take preventive actions Purchasing Define Responsibility centers & perform Monthly Inventory Audit Billing With the use of IT, identify the records with Unbilled Patients and Wrongly Billed Patients. Put check points in place to minimize or eliminate such incidences HR & Administration Correct Staffing ( Skilled Personnel in place ) Assess the Training & Development on the basis of actual performance in routine operations. PR Increase in the no of patients, improved Customer Satisfaction. Better coordination with external agencies
