Introduction
.and ye shall have power!...... The above is a command for men who have the initiative and confidence to make use of their natural born gift to dominate and create The natural law of nature and life is for man to lead and be in control at least that was the original plan at creation Leadership and control are attributes of a true entrepreneur
By Mariam Campbell 2013 January

True power is seen in a man with the confidence to step out and embrace the natural order of things True power comes from identifying shortcoming and weaknesses and building strengths from them using natural inborn gifts and strengths.

What is power?
The ability to do something or act in a particular way, esp. as a faculty or quality. Power is frequently defined as the ability to influence the behavior of others with or without resistance. Ability to cause or prevent an action, make things happen; the discretion to act or not act. Finally it is the quantity of work that has to do with a force causing a displacement.
By Mariam Campbell 2013 January

Work has nothing to do with the amount of time that this force acts to cause the displacement. Sometimes, the work is done very quickly and other times the work is done rather slowly. Other names for power are
Might Force Strength Potency Authority Energy

The power of creation

Man is the only creation that has the power to create new ideas It is an inborn command programmed inside us all to be able to bring out something new from the old or simply bring out something completely different from the norm This a gift that all entrepreneurs share, in Nigeria its a latent gift that is rarely used

The power of innovation

Innovation they say is the mother of all invention Therefore what is innovation and why is it a tool of power? Innovation simply put is the inborn ability entrepreneurs have to bring ideas to life. First step is to create the idea but that does not mean the idea is alive. Therefore there is the need to make the idea alive. As seen in creation after man was created God brought him to life

The power of change

Change is inevitable, it is constant, it moves as time moves, it comes whether it is wanted or not Change is something that presses us out of our comfort zone. It is destiny-filtered, heart grown, faith built. Change is inequitable; not a respecter of persons. Change is a tool in the hand of the right person; an entrepreneur embraces change and works with it

The Power of Learning

Knowledge is power; knowledge is the ability to know. Knowing comes from constant learning and the ability to improve through learning Experience = Learning + skills The amount of what you know determines how far you will go and automatically differentiates you from the unlearned. The power knowing gives you can never be taken from you.

The power of movement

Entrepreneurship is a movement that dictates the direction of a locality, people or nation Entrepreneurs have the power to move a community from obscurity into the limelight Example Obajana in Kogi state was not known by many until Dangote situated his cement factory there The world would not know Hollywood today if not for the film factory on that long street

The power of displacement

Entrepreneurs have the power to move a situation or community from an original position to a new one Either because of a dissatisfaction with the current position or because of a need to create new opportunities Displacement as a tool of power looks at how far out of place an object, a place or situation is or should be.

The power of distribution

The way by which we share within a group or in the area or location we find ourselves The entrepreneur has the power to distribute wealth, employment, building blocks that makes a community and nation Distribution is a power tool in entrepreneurship that finds its base in control and leadership
By Mariam Campbell 2013 January

The power of leadership

Entrepreneurship and leadership cannot be separated one from the other. The Entrepreneur has the power to lead and the role to create a direction for others to follow Leadership is a responsibility born out of creation and innovation. It is the power of not been able to shy away from blame or doing

The power of servitude

He who wants to be first must be the last This is the power of servitude! Entrepreneurs are there to be of service and to serve Without the knowledge of this very important tool the entrepreneur would have missed his way We serve not only our clients and customers but our followers (employees) and the communities where our businesses are located

The power of balance

In the unbalanced world we live in Entrepreneurship creates a balance that keeps the economy of a nation within a safe point Entrepreneurship brings about balance in pricing, demand, quality and so much more The ability to keep things in a steady position so that it does not fall into disarray or chaos is a power tool
By Mariam Campbell 2013 January

Finally
Entrepreneurs have power but the question is this; Do we know the extent of the power and what do we do with the power we have? Entrepreneurship is a God-ordained command for man to keep and dress that which he has put in our care the world we live in It is left to us whether we make good on it or not!
