Current situation
The key users role were defined for the SAP implementation project, A key users team were named, and assigned to GCC Global Project:
Now some of them are no longer at the company Its function has been changing since the implementation

Key Users responsibilities, and duties are now part of their job description, They are eager to learn more Lack of development of succession plan for these KUs duties.

Process Owner
Has accountability and authority for an end-to-end process
Trans-functional responsibility

Owns the end-to-end business process design Understands current performance vs. desired performance
Use metrics and audit results to evaluate compliance and continuously improve the process

Creates vision for the process and sells the journey map

Process Owner Is a manager who knows his/her process and:


Knows what is critical about the process Monitors process performance with data (what performance data should be monitored and how to collect it) Makes sure the process is documented, and the documentation is used and updated regularly Makes sure a process management (or control) plan is in place Makes sure that any improvements identified through projects are incorporated and maintained in the process Provides linkage to customers, suppliers and other processes Makes sure that process operators have the training and resources to do their jobs well

Key user
Provides linkage to other functions to act as a process. Identify changes in the business environment that enhances the process. Implement changes in business process along with another key users. Understand how the system has been implemented to support the business
Be the "go to" people to answer system functionality and business process questions Provide immediate responses to end-user requests for business process help Answer basic system navigation questions Answer other "how to" or "I can't get it to work" issues Assist with training end users on business processes and system use. Ensure a succession plan for his/her key user role.

Key user
Work with the IT organization to plan, implement, and release those changes that may affect the ERP. Works with the IT organization by filtering end-user requests and passing along to the Help Desk:
Only those issues that the IT organization should be aware of as it tunes or enhances the system, True problems that need some type of fix or resolution from a system perspective.
