BASIC NEED OF GAS GENERATOR

Clean Air Clean Fuel Clean Lubricating Oil Arresting the leakage of oil, fuel & air

QUATERLY CHECKS/ MAINTENANCE

Check air/oil leakage from 5th & 10th stage bleed valves. Clean/ Replace air intake plenum & enclosure filters Remove, inspect and clean the magnetic plug Check lube oil level Check fuel filter (3 micron) Check GG lube oil filter. Check starter mounting bolts Check starter oil drain hose for choking Open & Clean fuel nozzles Carry out Compressor Cleaning (GG Washing)

INSPECTING & CHECKING FUEL NOZZLES

Inspect for physical damages Check for clogged passages in jet holes Check for cracks between jet holes & their erosion Inspect the flame plated coating on the wear surface of nozzle body Check for carbon deposits

BORESCOPIC INSPECTION
(AT EVERY 4000 HOURS)

INSPECTION OF COMBUSTION SECTION

Check for any foreign object and remove it by VacCum Cleaner or Magnet Inspect for cracks or dents in combustion liner & liner supports & clamps. Check for any oil in outer casing

INSPECTION OF AXIAL FLOW COMPRESSOR

Check 1st stage vanes and rotor blades for surface defects as dents, nicks & cracks through bell mouth. Check 5th stage rotor blades through port for speed sensing probe. Check OGV from fuel nozzle holes.

INSPECT TURBINE SECTION

Check NGV and 1st stage rotor blades leading edge through fuel nozzle holes. Check first stage trailing blades, stator vane and second stage leading blades through inter-stage ports. Check 2nd stage blades trailing edge through thermocouple ports.
