MERGERS AND ACQUISITIONS


Air India and Indian Airlines

March 1, 2007 Air India and Indian Airlines merged to improve operational synergy and increase productivity.

Jet Airways and Sahara Airlines


On 20th April, 2007, Jet acquired 100% stake in Air Sahara 15 months after signing the original purchase agreement.

Kingfisher Airlines and Air Deccan


In 2007, Kingfisher Airlines acquired 26% equity stake in Air Deccan. Kingfisher later increased its stake to 46%, and took control of the management of Air Deccan.
