b) Socket outlet

Two types:
a. switched outlets and b. unswitched (live) outlets Most outlets used are of the 220-240 V switched type. Twin sockets (two together) are also available. In locating socket outlets it is recommended that they be spaced about 2-3 m apart in all rooms. .

c) Lighting Required in Houses important factor - the kind of activity generally carried out there. The trends in locating lighting fixtures in houses: 1. fewer ceiling-mounted fixtures but more lamps plugged into outlets, 2. ceiling fixtures in the dining room that are centered over the dining table, 3. use of fluorescent tubes above a suspended ceiling in the kitchen and bathrooms. This technique provides both more light and an attractive finish, 4. use of recessed lighting fixtures in hallways and special emphasis areas.

c) Lighting Required in Houses

It is also recommended that a lighting fixture schedule be included with the electrical plan. The schedule should show: 1. type of lighting fixture desired, 2. number of each type of lighting fixture needed, 3. mounting height and location, 4. the wattage of the fixture, 5. any other important information that will make for safe and 6. efficient utilization of the fixture.

HOW TO DRAW THE WIRING DIAGRAM

Steps: 1. Open the New File in AutoCAD software. 2. Find the Symbol Libraries as Figure 5.5. 3. Select the section of symbols needed such as Plumbing, Electrical and so on. 4. Drag onto your worksheet and use the LINE to connect each others. The drawing not to scale. 5. Use any command to complete your diagram.
