Case study: AASRA trust- A Shelter For Change

Registered under the Bombay public trust act since 1996 Works for marginalised street children Works at grass root level Provides services like shelter, nutrition, education, medical and healthcare, counselling, recreation, vocational guidance and workshops

Positives The NGO is totally focused about its activities and working well around it The vision, mission, goal are constantly abided to and followed The objectives are achieved and attained not fully but at a respectable level and the same is maintained A proper mix of people is observed in the organisation i.e. the board members as well as supporting staff. Every member is adequately educated and well connected and ready to respond Negatives A proper connectivity pattern is not noticed this may come forward as a problem in future No background checks are done in the appointment of volunteers who are shortlisted just on their wish to work with the organisation
