Gutterwork Gutterwork (measured over all gutter fittings, short running lengths and branches) shall be in metres and nominal size Purpose made and curved shall be described stating the mean radius Gutter fittings and purpose-made gutter shall be enumerated seperately as extra over. Cutting and jointing shall be deemed to be included Standard gutter supports shall be described Non standard gutter shall be enumerated Pipework Pipe and pipe fittings which are wrapped, coated or lined by manufacturer Temporarily fixed in position , refixed shall be described

Pipes and fittings Pipes (measured over all pipe fittings, short running lengths and branches) given in metres stating type and nominal size Joints of special character and extra demountable couplers shall be enumerated as extra over Flexible , extensible, pipes laid or fixed in ducts, trenches and chases or embedded in situ concrete shall be described Pipe fittings and purpose made pipe fittings shall be enumerated as extra over ( cutting and jointing the pipes deemed to be included) i.e reducing fittings, branch fittings and inspection doors occur in pipe Special connnections and joints in pipe shall be enumerated Labours on pipes e.g made bends, springs, offsets , ornamental ends etc shall be deemed to be included

Sundries Rainwater heads, roof outlets, hopper heads , terminals, hinged flaps cowls shall be described and enumerated Wire gratings, cast gratings, flashing plates, weathering aprons, drip trays shall be described and enumerated. Pipe sleeves through walls , floors and ceiling shall be enumerated stating the type , lengths and the nominal size Pipe Work supports Standard pipe support and /or lined to insulate pipes shall be given in description. Non standard shall be described and enumerated Components e.g. clips, saddles, pipe hook, brackets MORE than one pipe shall be enumerated Pipe anchors shall be enumerated stating nominal size, type method of fixing and nature of the structure

Connections (Q13) Connections to Public Mains, Making Good Public Hiighway which to be carried out by a Public Undertaking Local Authority shall be given as a Provisional Sum Ductwork Ducting(measured over all pipe fittings, short running lengths and branches) given in metres stating type and nominal size Lining ducting internally with accoustic shall be measured seperately Flexible , extensible, curved sahll be enumerated Duting fittings shall be described and enumerated as extra over Providing materials, bolts, nuts washers and everything elase necessary for maing joint shall be deemed to be included with the items

Special Connections (Q15) Size, type , method of joining and shall be described and each shall be enumerated for the following items: Ducting turns and splitters, nozzle outlets, test holes and covers and access doors, cowls , weathering aprons, flashing plates. Ductwork supports (Q16) Components for supporting ductwork shall be enumerated- size, type and size of ducting Classification shall be as follows: Components for single runs Components for multiple runs Combined components for supporting ducting and pipework

Equipment and ancillaries Generally (Q19)- Equipment such as boilers, generators, heaters,wate treatment plant, tanks, cylinder, pumps, coolers, air handling unit, fans, refrigerator , sanitary fittings , automatic controls shall be enumerated and related to specification Packaged items of equipment shall be described with manufacturers detailed specification. Measured in accordance with the appropriate sections: Electrical connections -Electrical Installation (Section R) Plate work - Metal work (Section P) Anti vibration and sound insulation(Q20) Anti vibration mounting enumerated Anti vibration material and sound insulation material m2

Equipment supports (Q21)shall be enumerated Particulars of method of fixing and jointing shall be described Identification plates i.e. plates , disc and labels for appliances, equipment, pipes , valves shall be deemed to be included. Insulation (Q.25) Particulars: Kind ,quality, thickness, finish and method of fixing Insulation to pipework , ductwork in metres stating the type and nominal size and any exceptional particulars given air space between insulation Working insulation : Around ancillaries to pipe work i.e boxes for valves shall be enumerated as extra over Over flanges and pipe fittings shall be deemed to be included Ducting fittings, special fittings and ancillaries shall be enumerated as 9 extra over

Insulation to equipment enumerated stating the overall size Providing detachable mattresses around special fittings and ancillaries deemed to be included Sundry insulation Trenches, ducts, tank casings , cellular concrete in m3 Special protection at openings through wall , valve chamber - shall be enumerated

Sundries Draining and refilling system as provisional or prime cost sum Disconnecting , setting aside and refixing equipment given as item Temporarily operating each installation, testing , preparing plnas and diagram given as an item

Builders Work Excavating trenches for cables and pipes not exceeding 55mm nominal size shall be given under D 12.9 Earthwork section Excavating trenches for pipe ducts exceeding 55mm nominal size shall be given under clause V2 Drainage Section Inspection Chamber given in Section Drainage Bedding and pointing components of equipment , ancillaries shall be enumerated

Cutting and pinning end of supports shall be given as follows ( stating the size of the support and the nature of background): Support for equipment, ancillaries shall be enumerated Support for pipe over 55 mm nominal size shall be enumerated Support for pipe not exceeding 55 mm nominal size shall be in metres Cutting away for and making good shall be given as follows (pipes and ducts): Holes for conduits, cables trunking , tray in accordance with the appropriate section Motices, sinkings and the like shall be each enumerated Lifting and replacing existing chequer -plates and the like shall be in metres Lifting and replacing existing floorboards shall be given in metres Cuttings chases shall be given in metres stating the size of pipes or ducts and the nature of the structure. Chases in existing work shall be 12 described

Pylons, poles, wall brackets, pole brackets pole stays and the like for supporting pipework shall be each enumerated stating the size, method of fixing and nature of structure Boring and excavating holes for poles shall be enumerated stating the depth, nature of filling and treatment of surplus soil Catenary cables shall be given in metre stating the type and size . Eye bolts , shackles and straining shall be given in description and method of fixing
