Q1: In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media

products?

The name of the initial magazine Interview to me this suggests the whole aspect of a music magazine having the exclusive hints into a star, this also creates the bond between selling the magazine as it has the information that nobody else has. The graphic features of the title and presentation of the brand Interview in shows in a more stylistic way with little ease and effort. The use of the minimalistic brush effect shows the artistic free hand nature of the audience having the presence and style to pull off anything. I wanted the brand and the presentation of the name to have a general aspects of the music industry however the hectic business is a contrast to the relaxing and reading over the gossip of music artist. Indicating the date and sale of the magazine, featuring the barcode and date line. I see this as a must for the production of magazines due to the professionalism quality that I wanted to achieve. Placing the date and selling code at the bottom of the layout allowed me to make it a easy product to buy from shops and seen to not take up a lot of space in order to add more content on the cover the magazine. From the front cover and the featuring star being present it is essential that the title of the star is featured. In my newly produced magazine Interview interpreting the up and coming interviews of the fame and the fortune. The building block structure of the title name of the artist signifies the set fame of the artist that is concreted in the music industry, I used this in my magazine as it shows a different layout of the artist name due to the optical challenge to read the lettering, however due to the icons status in the magazine and in reality the name should be easily recognised and allow audiences to pick up and read straight from the shelf. I used the idea of using a block method to illustrate the different presentation of the headlining artist, from the presentation of the block method allows as much of the cover surface to be shown of the actual artist by herself representing her solo representation and from the her minor support of her along the road band known as the the Kay's in their own square of the building frame, also a similar take on Florence and the Machine persona.

The bold presentation of the tagline of stories featured in the magazine can set the barrier of the image and the peak of the magazine connoting the bordering success of the magazine outlines the frame within a frame idea of the magazine. Also using the different plug lines of subjects such as involving the target audiences knowledge in the area of politics, however this may broaden the knowledge on the subject if they dont already know. Having introduced music into the hard hitting subject of politics and lightening with the response of music. Also this subject is open to the old skool music allowing further knowledge and wider range of audience read.

The main image ejects colour into the magazine due to hue of the image, pink an appealing colour stereotypically towards females. However the use of the hue over the image, allows other features to become bold and eye catching however revolving around the central image denoting style and music. The direct address of the model allows the direct approach to reaching out to the target audience of female and the communication purposes of her eyes focusing on the reader.

The para-phrasing of the miss Mack on her own terms this suggests the target audience of a solo artist however the self being of reading the magazine or within a group, gathering round as a topic of conversation and the shock topic of the artist.

The added taglines and plugs such as the + sign adds a visual annotation to stress the excitement and importance of the acts featured in the tag lines and stories. The range o audience music genre appeals to the audience personal preference in music and has something for everyone, also giving the latest on the most up and coming bands giving them the spotlight. Using the graphic arrangement of lines to distinguish on the forename and surname of the artists allows target audiences to read in a non particular way. Also the lines under the artist names sets a bar up against on another connoting their success in the industry or popularity at the time of issue.

Having a sub section of the contents page, telling the audiences about the featured cover stories, illustrates the main meaning and Interview process of the magazine and living up to its name. Incorporating the same font throughout the page shows the importance of the cover stories where the real meat of the magazine holds. From the lighter shade of the contents font, I have used this as the background cover of the box, thinking out side the box phrase having continuity of the mag. The gradient effect illustrates the dark shade of colour being more where the juicy gossip is and the dark secrets of the box. However then fading into the background of dead space to fill.

Having the brand name of the magazine at the top of the contents page uses the continuity of the magazine running throughout and is presented on a clear white background, having a blank canvas to paint our own picture on and shape it how you would like. This also uses the dead space and fills it with connotation of the audience preferences. Also having already used the use of a black bordering technique sets the medium of the page space for more information and the height of the magazine having covering the top of the page setting a standard of the magazine.

The text and image cohesion on this page is illustrates by the use of stories on the magazine features and live columns. The stance of the model is very relaxed and showing a more natural presentation to audiences denoting she is like everyone else behind all the fame. The frame of the image is worked around the use of objects such as the box not taking away any of the emphasis away from the image. To also in tie with the whole theme and colour hue of the page I enhances the contrast if the image bringing out the more vibrant colours of the mise en scene of the image. However also adding more images of music, illustrates the music magazine presentation and featuring personal photos of myself to show my take on music and view. My own images help me to further a more personal feel towards my target audiences, a picture of a friend and myself was interpreted as a new artists at a outside even of the magazine showing the magazines real love for music. Also addressing myself as the creator and editor with a friendly picture shows the friendly bond and relationship with audiences to know who is who.

Keeping in tack with the front cover colour pallet of pink, black and white. I feel these colours are fitting towards my target audience of young females, 16-25. Having the same pallet colour of pink balances the shade of the colour and uses the audiences eye of a optical illusion due to the 3-d effect the shade darker pushing forward the lighter shade. The capitalisation of the titles shows the months issue however the description of the page.

Images of music I felt really helped eject the music feel that I felt it needed as it was starting to look too high fashion magazine. Using the back and white image of the guitar and the instrument illustrates peace and sweet music not a hard core instrument like a electric guitar for example as the magazine is very much relaxed and comforting. The spherical frame of the image connotes the global representation of music as it can be seen that music makes the world go around.

This section of the magazine, balances and explains the images at the side using the explanation of putting faces to names and also the latest rom the magazine even before they carry on to read. The title hearing voices, illustrates the gossip and the new fresh scene of music that can be found in the magazine.

Having the brand name of interview still incorporate into the magazine page this shows the continuity of the magazine and where the story can be found in features. Also still ending the same found of interview. The size of the information is small due to the focus not being taken away from the main image of the spread.

The font of the article, is shown to be hand written. This gives a more natural bond in relationship terms as they are comfortable enough to express what they are about to in the article , this also connotes a diary extract font which has been hand written yet took time and effort to compose.

Implying the name of the artist but yet not too much focus on her name as she is a well known artist across the globe for example Beyonc, their would need no introduction The main image of the spread reflects the nature of the star, the lighting in this image and direction of the way she is she looking. The light reflects the quote of the text of her forming into more of a women and seeing the light of a more mature adult hood. The stance suggest she is thinking into a deeper thought maybe resembling her new music and style. Also the continuity of the same clothing also adds the flow of reliability in the magazine and you can count.

The subtitle of a small introduction of the artist is noted to regard in her success and the future for the star. Also developing more on the editor behalf and the interview overview.

The colour pallet of pink stripe across this can create unity amongst the target audience of women and also the medial skin of breast cancer colour of the logo. The solid colour shows the structure of her life and the solid background she may have behind her music career.

The traditional drop cap of the article gives a traditional music feel and editorial piece. However the British artist can be shown by the traditional graphology of the article of the drop cap.
