Design
Principle Of Location
1.Location
2.Clamping
3.Loading & Unloading
Location
1.Location is done using surfaces
A,B,C & D
2.V-block is used for location of
circular surfaces
3.Two resting pads are used for
correct
alignment of the workpiece on face
plate
Clamping
There is no actual
requirement of clamps
because we have used two
V-blocks, one is fixed on the
faceplate & other is movable.
Loading
Losing the movable V-block
& place the component on
fixed V-block & on the
resting pads.
After this tighten the
movable V-block from the
lower part as shown by
using T-slot created in V-
block & using collar rotation.
Unloading
o By simply
rotating collar
in anti-
clockwise
direction we
can unload the
workpiece

Faceplate
It is used to support V-block ,
main component,etc.
Back plate
It is used to hold face plate
V-block
It is basically used to locate
circular surfaces and also it
clamps the component
Moving bolt

It is actually supported by
collar and by means of T
shape it moves the
component vertically
Resting pads
It is used to support the
component
Bolt

Used for fitting purpose

Nut

Used to tighten on
bolt.
Setting block

Used to set the accurate

location of surface to be
machined.
Lead block
Used for balancing
the fixture
Assembly
 Assembly of face plate to back plate
by means of 3 nut &3 bolts
 Resting pads fixed by nuts & bolts
 One V-block is fixed by 2 bolt & 2 nuts
 Pocket is created in face plate to
locate setting block temperarily
 2 lead blocks are used for balancing
 Screwing is provided wherever
necessary
