    Melaksanakan analisa, rekomendasi ,
    pemantauan dan evaluasi terhadap
    seluruh rencana & kegiatan operasional
    / project dari aspek geoteknik :
    kemantapan lereng tambang ,
    infrastruktur tambang dan kemantapan
    sipil infrastruktur di seluruh wilayah
    tambang.

    Hydrological Role
    Melaksanakan analisa, rekomendasi,
    pemantauan dan evaluasi terhadap seluruh
    rencana dan kegiatan operasional / project dari
    aspek hidrologi: pola aliran sungai, besaran
    area tangkapan hujan, pola penyaliran,
    besaran curah hujan, pasang surut, besaran
    kebutuhan kolam penampungan dan
    pengendap yang dintegrasikan dalam desain
    mine surface water management.

    1. Geotechnical holes are to identify and
    collect subsurface information (soil &
    rock) to support slope stability analysis.
    2. Dewatering holes are to identify
    groundwater characteristic and reduce
    groundwater pressure behind pit wall.

    2,000 meters of core
    drilling at SMO, BMO, LMO
    and PMO site and 600
    meters of soil drilling.
    1,500 meters of vertical
    drain hole (VDH) drilling at
    SMO, BMO and LMO site.

    2 Monitoring System
    Improvement
    1. Extensometer installation with alarm
    system for slope stability monitoring
    (ground surface movement)
    2. Inclinometer Installation for slope stability
    monitoring (ground subsurface
    movement).
    3. Vibrating Wire Piezometer (VWP)
    installation for groundwater pressure
    monitoring.
    To be installed 1 unit at
    SMO at the middle of 2012
    To be installed 1 unit at
    BMO at September 2012
    To be installed at SMO,
    LMO and BMO. 3 holes for
    each site at October 2012.

    3 Improve
    geotechnical logging
    data base
    1. giNT software acqusition for geotechnical
    logging data base.
