EARLY LIFE
• Hazrath Abu Bakr (R.A.) was the son of
Uthmaan and Salma.
• Belonged to a branch of Quraish.
• His parents had named him Abdul Kaaba,
meaning the servant of Kaaba.
• Later Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) named him
Abdullah.
• He had adopted the surname Abu Bakr and
people knew him by this name.
EARLY LIFE
The Qualities in him:-

 Known for Good and Upright Nature.

 Honest and Truthful.

 Kindhearted.
EARLY LIFE
Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) has said:

“ No one has been a better companion

to me than Abu Bakr.”

For his generosity and humbleness, the

Prophet (pbuh) called him As-Siddiq.
ENTRY INTO ISLAM
Hazrath Abu Bakr was the FIRST man
to accept Islam.

Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) told Abu

Bakr what had happened at Mount Hira.
When Abu Bakr heard this, he at once
became a Muslim.
ENTRY INTO ISLAM
Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) has said:
“I called people to Islam and
everybody thought over it, at least
for a while, but this was not the case
with Abu Bakr. The moment I put
Islam before him, he accepted it
without any hesitation”.
As soon as he became a Muslim, he
immediately began to preach Islam to
others.
LOVE FOR THE PROPHET
• Hazrath Abu Bakr stood by the side of the
Prophet (pbuh) throughout his life.

• He was willing to sacrifice his life for the sake of

protecting and comforting the Prophet (pbuh).

• His only ambition was to serve the Prophet (pbuh)

more than anyone else.
LOVE FOR THE PROPHET
Such love and sacrifice were
demonstrated when one day the Prophet
(pbuh) was performing Salah near the
Kaaba.
Seeing the Prophet praying, Uqbah bin
Abi Mueet took a cloth and put it
around the Prophet’s neck and twisted it
hard in an attempt to kill the Prophet.
LOVE FOR THE PROPHET
On seeing this Hazrath Abu Bakr went
to the Prophet’s rescue. He pushed
Uqbah aside and took the cloth from
around the Prophet’s neck. Then the
enemies of Islam came down upon Abu
Bakr and beat him. Abu Bakr did not
care of his suffering but was glad of
having saved the Prophet.
MIGRATION TO MADINA

enemies of Islam were getting
frustrated.
• The chiefs of Mecca decided to kill
Prophet Muhammed (pbuh).
• ALLAH revealed to the Prophet the
intentions of the enemies and ordered
him to migrate to Madina.
MIGRATION TO MADINA
• The Prophet informed Abu Bakr the
command of ALLAH and told that he has
to accompany him.
• Abu Bakr’s heart was full of joy on
hearing this.
• Meanwhile the Meccans were eagerly
searching for them.
MIGRATION TO MADINA
• They came to the mouth of a cave.
• Abu Bakr grew pale. He feared not for
himself but for the Prophet.
• Prophet (pbuh) told:
“do not fear, certainly ALLAH is with
us”.
• These words quickly calmed Abu Bakr.
PARTICIPATION IN BATTLES
• Abu Bakr took part in almost all the
battles.
• He always stood like a rock in the
battlefield.
• He gave all his wealth and energy for
the sake of Islam.
LIFE AFTER PROPHET’S
DEATH
When the news of the Prophet’s death
came out, many Muslims were confused
and stunned. Hazrath Umar (pbuh) was
also one of them.

Abu Bakr addresses the people by the

following verse of the Quran:
LIFE AFTER PROPHET’S
DEATH
“Muhammed is only a Messenger of
ALLAH, there have been Messengers
before him. What then, will you turn
back from Islam if he dies or is killed?”

Hearing this all realized their mistake.

Finally he was made the Caliph of Islam.
