This document presents work flow diagrams focused on two of the major tasks provided by the RF Design Department:
1) New cell site design
2) Engineering changes to existing sites.
Many other departments, of course, are integral part of these processes and the interaction with them is detailed.
Key:
Introduction
NEPA = National Environmental Policy Act. Requires government agencies (Cingular via FCC) to study if any impact on
wetlands, floodplanes, historical areas, native american territory, etc)
SHIPO = State Historic Preservation Office. (They look for impact and visibility of towers from historic areas)
ASTM = American Society for Testing and Materials (Organization that sets hazardous materials handling standards. Report
documents risk level of litigation and possible financial burdens for a particular property)
