Over the years KNIT has strived to lay a solid foundation of the future
techno grads. KNIT laid its foundation stone in 1976. The institute has
been consistently nurturing young and talented minds giving shapes to
their innovations and thoughts . It has a rich tradition of pursuing
excellence and has been continually involved in all around development
of the students, be it curriculum or the other spheres .

The world class facilities, strong collaborations with industries highly qualified
Faculty ,training and various other entrepreneurial opportunities and highly absorbing
campus helps the student to find there niche in this fierce contemporary arena of cut-throat
competition.It has a wonderful history of 30 years and has been consistently furnishing
world class techies.It has produced charismatic alumni who have made many contributions
at both national and international level.They are more preferably opted for in the sphere
of Research ,Academics ,Business and entrepreneurial ventures.It too has a sound

respectable percentiles. Apart from competitive
exams students regularly participate in national
level engineering challenges and Have shown

We have top rankers from UPSEE holding ranks

under top 1000.
KNIT has been Ranked 2nd in Overall UPTU
results for last 3 Years.
Many of our students have been consistently proving their mettle
in the following fields :
20 students cleared the NTPC exam in 2009.
15 students selected in JTO-2009.
Mr. Arindham Dhar (B.Tech ME-2009), Mr. Ram Bharat(B.Tech EL-2009) &
Mr. Dheeraj Tripathi(EE-2008) selected in IES-2009.
Mr. Himanshu Verma (B.Tech ME-2009), Mr. Mukund Agrawal (B.Tech EL-
2009) selected in DRDO-2009.
Mr. Puneet Srivastava (B.Tech-ME-2009), Mr. Robin Rana (B.Tech EL-2009),
Ms. Ankita Srivastava (B.Tech Cs-2008) selected in BARC-2009.
Mr. Shyam Bihari (B.Tech EE-2009) cleared the ONGC-2009.
Mr. Siddharatha Varshaney(B.Tech CS-2009) and Mr. Adamya Chandra
(B.Tech ME-2009) cracked the CAT-2009 and have been selected for IIM-
Kolkata.
5 students stood under 100 in GATE-2009 and 35 were 99 percentilers.
Mr. Sandeep Yadav (EE-2008) stood 14th in IES 2008.
GATE 2008 48th , 56th , 64th , 86th , 98th & 104th rankers from our college and
more than 25 students with above 99 percentile.
5 students selected in BARC-2008, 7 in NTPC-2008, 2 in ISRO-2008 & 5 in
SAIL-2008.
Mr. Abhishek Gupta (B.Tech IT-2008) served as Microsoft Student
Representative for the north zone.
Our current students are no less than the previous one’s as the
name of KNIT shines again:-

The 2010 batch has received the honor of producing the best academic
results in UPTU examinations continuously for 3 years.
5 students got under 100 ranks in GATE-2009 and 15 are with above 99
percentile marks .
1 student cleared the SSB interview of the Indian Army.
Students have got their articles published in EFY and IEEE; the monthly
magazines.
Students are trained from renowned organizations like BHEL, Indian Metro,
SAIL, DRDO, SAP, NTPC, OFC, etc.
A 3 member team of Information Technology students got 5th rank all over
the nation in IBM’s TGMC-2008.
6 students qualified for the Google Code Jam-2009.
1 student cleared 2 rounds of Microsoft IMAGINE CUP-2009.
1 student has satisfied all the requirements of a Sun Certified Programmer
for the JAVA platform,edition 6.
 2 students are entitled of being Redhat Certified System Programmer.
 1 student has satisfied the requirements of being an Oracle Certified
Database Associate.
2 students have successfully cleared the JMET-2010 examination.
