CASH MANAGEMENT

Cash Management is a process by which cash in-charge forecasts the future


demand of liquidity, manages the availability of cash, sets the officers in
counter as needed and takes the managerial decision where needed.
There are several steps included in managing cash and these are listed below:

Sorting, Stitching and Leveling of Currency Notes

Maintenance of Keys and Key Register and Records of Keys

CLEARING
Clearing is the process of collection of instruments (Cheques of CD, SB, Loan,
Demand Draft, Payment Order etc) of different banks by a collecting bank through
some systematic procedures with the involvement of Central Bank.
Outward Clearing- the instruments received from the clients and send through a

system to the Bangladesh Bank for cleaning


Inward clearing-the instruments of Prime Bank Ltd. received by other banks

Provides necessary documents pertinent to income and security
Signature is necessary on the Charge Documents
Opens account with the branch if none exists with the bank
Provides bank with security cheques (7 chadues)
