Alexander the great

Alexander was born in Pella on 20/21 July


365 BC.
Alexander has 20 cities that bore his name.
He died in Babylon in 326BC.
He invaded India in 326 BC but was
eventually forced to turn back by near
Mutany of his troops.
By the age of thirty Alexander was creator
of the largest empire in ancient history,
stretching from the Ionian Sea to Himalaya.
After his death a series of war that tore
his empire into number of states.

MUGHALS
Baber the founder of mughal
dynasty .
Mughals came from persia .
In 1504 he made himself master
of Kabul and so came in touch
with India whose wealth was a
standing temptation.
He became of master of Delhi in
April 1526 after winning Panipat
war on 21st April 1526.

Centralised, imperialistic government which brought


together many smaller kingdoms.
Persian art & culture amalgamated with Indian art and
culture.[
New trade routes to Arab and Turkic lands.
The development of mughal cuisine.
Mughal Architecture found its way into local Indian
architecture, most conspicuously in the palaces built by
Rajputs and Sikh rulers.

Akbar
His rule began when he was only 13 years old
and was a profound leader.
He was a great military commander and
strategist.
He introduced standard weights and measures,
a tax structure and created policies regarding
the tolerance of the Hindu population.
Akbar supported advances in intellectual
advancement.
Led to an increase in learning centres such as
the great observatory in Delhi.
-Also led to the first seamless globe which
scientists did not believe was possible until the
discover of the Mughal model in the 1980's

The first known invaders of India
were Aryans.
It is believed that the Aryans
arrived in North India
somewhere around 1500 BC .
The Aryans fought and pushed
the local dark skinned people
called Dravidians southwards.
The Aryans are said to be fair
skinned people.

They settled down and mixed
with the local Indian people. They
lived there from about 1500 BC to
about 800 BC.
It seems to be at this time that
the caste system got started in
India.
About 800 BC, the Aryans
learned how to use iron for
weapons and tools.

Britshers
East India company was formed in
Britain for trading with east Indain
countries .
In 1610 Britishers came to India as
traders under the name of east India
company &established its first
outpost in India at Surat .
This marked the beginning of a
britisher in India which lasted over
300 years.

Jahangir for setting up
factories .
Since then Britishers
expanded their business by
establishing many factories in
Ahmadabad , Agra ,Madras &
Bengal over next many years.
Soon they divided the Indian
emperors and finished there
unity and so they became
