Background of Problem
Increased medical cost
Increased injured and death employee
Lack of safety training
Indifference of the Management

Accident at work place is an issue that affect

the employer and employee. Affect for the

employer is interfere the production and for
the employee have the accident came with
injured and death. The employee must pay
the bill if a bill higly form the insurance cover.
Therefore, the research should be done to
reduce occurence of accident into the
workplace.

Questionnaire
A set of questionnaires containing divided into 3
section was developed
Question type: ranking, yes-no, listing, category, openended and scales were used in the questionnaire.

Respondent of the study

The respondents are staff which job level

(non executive, executive, top management)

in Telekom Malaysia HQ - Region Network
Operation Department

Research Procedured
A pilot study was conducted to assess the

validity of the research instrument - Before

the actual data collection period
A total of 5 staff were involved in the pilot
study chosen random by at TM-RNO
community
The questionnaire were distributed when the
staff break

Data Analysis
data will be entered into the computer using

Microsoft Excel
presented tin graph, chart and table to see
the result clearly
The analysis of the interview data will go
through the coding technique using
identification of categories of patterns and
themes that emerges from the analysis

Findings & Discussion

distributed the questionnaires to 50 TM staff

at RNO department, Keramat Office Exchange.

received 20 questionnaires in return that
equivalent to 40% of our respondents.

The questionnaire was designed to justify of the following

questions:

What are the causes & effects of accident in

workplace?
What the solution to minimize or solve this
problem ?
When accident often happen ?
What kind of injury that often occurs?
Are TM staff (RNO dept ) aware on the safety
at workplace?
