•Set Up In 1977, Main Business --- GRAPHITE.

•Asia’s Leading graphite electrodes manufacturer and exporter.

•Serves a Niche Market with just 1 competition and better quality
product's

•Annual Capacity to make 52,000 Graphite electrodes.

• It has two captive power generation facilities.

•Also has a R & D set up for carbon and graphite.

•80% of the production is exported to 25 countries
PRODUCT RANGE
• Graphite electrodes - UHP Graphite
electrodes with suitable 3/4 TPI
nipples as per NEMA IEC 239
(1987)/ IS 9050 (1979)

• Also makes HP grade graphite
CAPACITY & DESIGNEE LAYOUT

• Plant area cover 160 acres.



• Modern Extrusion Press.

• Baking Furnaces from Riedhammer, Germany

• Use of Impregnation System .

• Graphitization through LWG furnaces .

• CNC machines for machining of Graphite electrodes .

• The installed capacity of the plant was 60,000 MT with an
annual turnover of about Rs. 600 crores.

PLANNING
• Annual production plan is followed.

• But targets are short term.

• Critical equipment in spare.



PROCESS EMPLOYED
• Work is done in Batch Process

• No Parallel Lines.

• TPM– total productive maintenance.


QUALITY POLICY
• Involvement of suppliers in the continuing
programmed for quality improvement.
• They strongly realize that world is our market and
therefore competitive quality of there products,
response and service is the essence.
• Safe, clean and orderly environment
• Random sampling is done for some tests of
destructive nature

• Certified with iso 9001, iso 14001
• Enhancement in quality through comprehensive Statistical
Process Control system (SPC).
• International consultation, to seek assistance in its efforts to
constantly upgrade its processes.

thermal nature.
• 33 MW coal-based thermal plant employed in 2009.

• power revenues stood at Rs. 100.79 crore as compared
to Rs. 112.76 crore in the previous year.

• Water is recycled and is utilized .
• DCM recycle plant.
• Environmental initiatives-
• It is considered one of the cleanest graphite electrode
plants in the world.
