Unemployment has been a problem for
every
country in this and last century.
In earlier times when people lived on
their farmsin countryside there was no
unemployment.
There
was
always
something to work on. Also, in all ex communist countries
there was no
unemployment, but in most workplaces
there were 3 or more people
working
even if only worker was needed. This
type of situation is
called hidden
unemployment and causesinefficiency.

What are the most important reasons

for this happening?
1) Not enough jobs.
2) Mismatch between skills needed and
skills workers actually have.
3) Mismatch in location of companies
and workers.

Solutions used by the Government

1) Full development of small-scale, laborintensive industries.
2) Choosing appropriate labor -intensive
technologies of production.
3) Creating a more direct link between
education and employment.
4) Reduce rural migration.
