Objective
Decreases the paper work in the election process.
Allows voter to caste their vote residing in any
constituency within his/her native state.

Polling Process
Voting system include following steps:
Voter identification through voter photo ID.
Voting and recording of votes cast.
Vote counting.
Publication of election results.

Polling Process
The voter is identified from the voters list and records
his presence by a signature or thumb impression
The Presiding Officer presses the Ballot button on
the Control Unit permitting one vote
The voter then proceeds to the polling cubicle and
after perusing the ballot paper on the Ballot Unit,
presses the key against the candidate of his choice

Contd
A red lamp glows indicating to the voter that his vote
has been cast in favour of that candidate
The casting of the vote results in a beep in the
Control Unit indicating to the Presiding Officer that
a vote has been cast
He then proceeds to release another vote by pressing
the Ballot button and the process continues

The RESULT button is pressed to display the
results
The results are then noted.

Advancement of EVM by Undertaken Project


Voting system include following steps:
Voter identification retina & fingerprint scanning.
Voting and recording of votes cast.
Vote counting.
Publication of election results.

Voter Identification and Authentication.


The system consists of an LCD touch screen.
Allow voter to enter his/her constituency.
Allow voter to provide fingerprint and retina
scanning.
Match the information with the database for voters
from same constituency.

Save the retina and fingerprint information on to the
external chip for voters from different constituency.
Do not match with the database.
Allow voter to cast his/her vote.
Decision for validity of the votes from different
constituency will be made during counting.

Voting and Recording of Votes Cast.


Presents the voter with the photo identity of each
contestant.
Voters has to click on the photo identity of their choice.
Voter identity will be blocked henceforth.
Information of votes along with the voter information
will be stored on to the external chip.
Save the information of eligible voters who have not
casted their votes on the external chip.

Vote Counting.
Information on all external chips of different
constituency will be integrated on to the single
database.
Recognize voters from different region.
Match the retina and fingerprint information with the
appropriate database.
If matched, segregate the information constituency
wise.
Add the total number of votes.

Applications and Advantages


Implemented to allow voting from any constituency
within the state.
Reduces paper work.
Reduces bogus votes.
The vote counting is much faster.

Conclusion
By implementing the advanced electronic voting
machine, the election process can be made simpler
and efficient.
Also allows the voter to cast his vote by residing at
any political region within the state.
The total estimated budget is Rs.25000.
