4. P.C.C. on ground
5. Locating column centre on P.C.C. by
TTS
6. Fixing steel on P.C.C.
7. Shuttering of footing
8. Casting of footing

TOTAL CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS-

Construction of foundation- Pile Foundation

Pile Excavated

Excavation

Excavation of pile

10

DETAILS OF PILE

Type of soil- Black cotton soil

Type of Pile foundation- Friction Pile
Diameter of Pile- 530mm
Depth of Pile- 4m to 4.5m
Friction piles are those they do not reach the hard stratum.
These piles transfer the load through skin friction between the
embedded surface of the pile and the surrounding soil. Friction
piles are used when a hard stratum does not exist at a
reasonable depth.

11

Pouring of concrete in pile

Reinforcement of pile
12

PILE CAP- THEY USING THE TWO TYPES OF PILE CAP

1. RECTANGLE
2. TRAPEZOIDAL

Rectangle type
Trapezoidal
type

13

DETAILS OF CAP

Size of cap 2.5*2.0*0.9

10mm ,16mm & 20mm steel are used for pile
cap.
Column size 300*600mm.
In rectangle type total two piles are
driven. Two piles are driven in two corners as
shown above fig & In trapezoidal type total
three piles are driven. Two piles are driven in
two corners & one is driven in middle one as
shown above fig.

15

Reinforcement of slab

Consult wiring
16

Pouring of Concrete with RMC

(Total Quantity of slab is 225 meter cube)

Using of Vibrator for proper

compaction

17

Starter of Column(depth 100mm) Starter may be defined as base

structure
before casting of column to keep column in fixed position & to
erect formwork.
.
18

Extending the steel in column with help of lapping of steel bar for making column.
Lapping is done about 1 m long with help of cutting at every 75mm distance.

19

Shuttering Of column

Pouring of concrete in column

20

Drum mixing for making

concrete with volume batching

Start up of beam bottom for making the

next
slab formwork
21

Reinforcement of
lift(2.5*2.0m)

Reinforcement of staircase
22

HONEY COMBING

After concreting is done honey combing occurred because of there is no

using of vibrator& tamping is not done properly As you seen in below
fig.
This type of concreting is not good for structure because it cant take
the proper load & therefore this particular item is demolished. After
demolishing the new concreting is done with the help of RMC & proper
vibrating & tamping is also done.

CONCLUSION
It was the great experience about actual site work taken during
this session of vacation. The training period that I spent to
see the construction work will definitely give me invaluable
experience and knowledge for shaping my future carrier. This
training period gave me an actual idea about site work.

The important that we learned in this field training:

Project execution
Time management
Material management
Decision making
Communication
Daily muster reports & its importance
Safety management & precautions
Financial aspects
Actual site works
