OBJECTIVES
implement HIV and AIDS Education in the workplace
as part of the AIDS Medium-Term Plan (AMTP) by the
PNAC, of which the Department of Education (DepEd)
along with 16 other government agencies and nine
(9) non-government and professional organizations
is a core member;
provide the workforce with accurate information on
HIV and AIDS to equip individuals with the correct
knowledge to prevent HIV transmission to others
and, for those who have not acquired the virus, to
avoid getting infected; and
enable employees to distinguish fact from falsehood,
encourage them to practice health-seeking behaviors
and seek treatment, and lessen the stigma and
discrimination associated with the disease.
