• A news report is about a

particular topic which interest
the public. It appears in
newspaper or magazines and
it is written as an impersonal
formal style , aiming to catch
the reader’s attention. A news
report gives accurate facts
only. The writer’s feelings or
point of view should not be
mentioned.

• News heading of the news
report should be interesting
and should compel the reader
to read the news article.

• Today according to leading news vendor BBC
Apple have sold about One million IPads in
28 days. Apple CEO Steve Jobs not only put
forward the progression of the firm but also
stated that Apple is ready to face any kind
of challenge from other companies around
the world. He also stated the rise in tablet
personal computers that will be observed in
the coming years. As the sale of Ipad is
directly proportional to its number of
applications downloaded , the number of
applications downloaded were on rise too. It
would be a night mare for Apple but a
wide variety of tablets would be available
for customers. Apple would need to provide
special services and comforts to their
customers in future to compete with the
rest of the vendors.

reader the next important part of
the news is its body, whose
objective is to maintain the readers
interest.
• Body of the news should contain easy
and explanatory type of words
(words which convey whole and
accurate meaning).
• The grammar of the writer should also
be correct.
• Body of the news should contain
summary of the event(time, place,
people involved)

• Decide what your article will be about.
• Write atleast three paragraphs (introduction,
development and conclusion.)
• Attach relevant pictures in your report.
• Read your article and edit where needed.
