PERSONALITY DETERMINANT

Behavior involves complex interaction


between person and situation.
Personality represent overall profile or
combination of a stable attributes that
capture the unique nature of a person.
Theories of personality often describes what
people have common and what sets them
apart.
The two source which shapes perosnality is
Heredity and Environment (culture, family,
group, life experience)

relaxed, secure and unworried)
Agreeableness (ability to get along with others)
Extraversion (person comfort level with
relationship)

SELF ESTEEM

Self esteem- extent to which a person


believes that he or she is a worthwhile and
deserving individual.
People develop, hold and something modifies
opinions of their own behavior, abilities,
appearance and worth.

LOCUS OF CONTROL

Extent to which individuals believes that


they can control event affecting them.
Internal loc believes their own behavior and
actions primarily but not necessarily totally,
determine many of the events in their lives.
External loc believes that chances, fate or
other people primarily determine what
happens to them.

INTROVERSION AND
EXTROVERSION

Introverts are quiet, introspective and


emotionally unexpressive.
Extraversion is an orientation toward other
people, events and objects. They are
sociable, lively, impulsive, and emotionally
expressive.
The evidence suggests that introvert perform
better alone and in quiet environment
whereas extrovert in an environment with
great sensory stimulation such as noisy office
or high level activity.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Daniel Goleman states that EQ is more crucial


that IQ for career success. EI refers how well
individual handles herself and others rather
than how smart she is or how smart in
handling technical skills.
EI includes
Self

awareness recognizing ones emotion,


strength and limitation
Self empathy- refers to sensing what others need
in order for them to develop.
Self motivation - refers to being result oriented
Social skills ability to influence others.

WORK ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOR

Attitude are relatively lasting feelings, beliefs


and behavior tendencies aimed at specific
people, group, idea, objects.
Attitude reflects an individual background,
experience and are formed by a variety of
forces, including their personal values,
experience and their personalities.
