SBCC

Features of SBCC 2017

SBCC is local case competition which involves
universities across Singapore and consists of 3
key rounds preliminary, semi-finals and finals
1. Interaction with students from local universities
(NUS, NTU, SMU, SUTD, SIT, SIM)
2. Preparation period is from October 2016 till
March 2017 (Peak period Dec 2016 till Mar 2017)
3. The SBCC 2017 committee will be geared towards
the planning and execution of a case workshop and
full day event.

Director of Competition x 2
- Invite a credible and diverse judging panel
- Review criteria and guidelines for judging and communicate it
clearly to judges
- Take charge of communication channels (email/website
enquiries) related to participants and judges
- Conveying the competition case and instructions to participants
- Finalising SBCC competition format
- Plan and execute realistic competition schedule together with
Operations
- Ensure judges are well taken care of during the competition day.

Director of Sponsorship x 2
- Source for and contact sponsors to pitch to and secure
funding for the competition
- Reach out and strengthen relations with existing sponsors
- Formulate collaboration proposals with compelling ideas
that align with sponsors needs
- Meet funding targets for SBCC
- Foster positive relationships and manage both sponsors
and schools expectations
- Follow-up and maintain good relations with sponsors
during the event and post-event

Director of Publicity x 2
- Create collaterals for publicity and competition purposes
(e.g. posters, banners, SBCC information booklets)
- Liaise with participating schools to publicise through
email blasts, putting up of posters, set up booths etc
- Manage media channels to create hype and build brand
equity for SBCC (e.g. social media, website)
- Come up with fresh ideas to attract sign ups and
submissions for SBCC 2017
- Engage media coverage (e.g. videographer, photographer)
- Ideal to have Photoshop or web designing skills

Director of Operations x 2
- In charge of the execution of 2 main segments, the SBCC
Case Workshop and SBCC 2017
- Plan an organised and realistic sequence of events for both
segments (together with Competition)
- Procure all logistics required by liaising with related parties
(e.g. food, media equipments)
- Ensure logistics are all fully functional
- Secure booking of all facilities required
- Take charge and manage the team in running the event on
workshop and competition day (eg. Manpower allocation,
ensuring everyone knows what they are doing)

Honorary General Secretary x 1
- Work with sponsorship to prepare a realistic budget to allocate
funds to respective portfolios
- Ensure budget is well controlled and updated by the various
portfolios throughout the planning phase
- Provide an audit to the expenses and handle expense claims
- Handle requirements/expectations of the school and sponsors
on how funds should be processed and managed
- Communicate with the school personnel and ensure all
administrative paperwork and claims are handled punctually
