LEGALIZATION OF

MARIJUANA

Hugo Hans Fritz Snchez

WHAT IS MARIJUANA
Marijuana, also calledweed, herb, pot, or lots of other slang terms,
is a greenish-gray mixture of the dried, shredded leaves and
flowers ofCannabis.

MANY WAYS TO CONSUME

MARIJUANA
Marijuana cigars calledblunts (often made by replacing the tobacco
o cigars with marijuana)
Marijuana can also be consumed as a tea, and also it is mixed into
food like brownies.

PROS ABOUT
THE
LEGALIZATION
OF WEED

1. The War on Drugs serves the

immediate interests of politicians
2. Legal prohibition does not stop
consumers from consuming drugs, it
does not stop trafficers from
producing and selling it.
3. Drug users exercise free will when
they chose to use drugs; a person
has the right to give up his or her
own freedom. A Government does
not have the right to dictate them.
4. The immorality of marijuana use can
only be based on one set of moral
beliefs.

CONS ABOUT
THE
LEGALIZATION
OF WEED

1. A State cannot be involved with

the distribution of substances
considered immoral by relevant
lots of the population.
2. The easy availability of drugs
would create new consumers
rather than rescuing current ones.
3. The use of soft drugs, such as
marijuana, leads to the use of hard
drugs (the Gateway Theory).
4. Legalizing drugs will send a
message to children that drug use
is acceptable.

IS NOT WORTH THE RISK

As a society, we will not make money, we will loose everything on it just
as we do with tobacco and alcohol.
If you use marijuana heavily prior to age 25, your brain won't work
anymore, or at least not as it did originally.
The United States stands ready to once again head down the path of
accepting another addictive drug, marijuana, as legal. It is almost as if we
have to burn our fingers again to be convinced that the stove is still hot.

MY OPINION ABOUT THE

DOCUMENTARY
I think that the documentary that we saw was brilliant because
there is a lot of difference between what we think about the United
States and their citizens and what the Americans think about us
and our country.
It seems like we are ignorant people next to them but thats not
our fault, we are used to watch a lot of TV and be controlled by
media. We are like programmed to be ignorant and to believe
everything that they show us.
We have a lot of problems here in Mexico such as delinquency, drug
cartels with a lot of violence with them, corruption and many other
things, but i think that we are consolidated as a very helpful
country with a lot of hardworking people that gives everything to
satisfy their needs.
