EMPLOYMENT STATUS

NATURE OF APPOINTMENT

A. PROMOTION
- Is the advancement of an
employee from one position
to another with an increase
in duties and
responsibilities, and salary
as authorized by law.

- Only applicants/nominees who

meet the
minimum requirements (T3E) stated
in
the Qualification Standard set by the
Department and the CSC shall
undergo the initial assessment.
- All assessed candidates shall be

strictly evaluated during the RSB

department or agency, which
does not involve a reduction in
rank, status or salary.

Reassignment of employees
with station-specific place of
work
indicated
in
their
appointments shall be allowed
only for a maximum period of

revoked or recalled by the head of
agency,
the CSC, or competent court.

granted the salaries of the
positions they are being
designated to, except
allowances that go with
performance
of
the
functions such as RATA.

Appointments submitted to the


CSC office concerned should meet
the requirements listed hereunder.
Non-compliance
with
such
requirements shall be ground for
disapproval of said appointments.

i. Demotion is the movement


of an employee from one position to
another with reduction in duties,
responsibility, status/rank, which
may/ may not involve reduction in
salary and is not disciplinary in
nature.

j. Upgrading/ Reclassification
- refers to the change in position
title with the corresponding
increase in salary grade.

Renewal refers to the subsequent

appointment issued upon the expiration of
