The precursor of USTH. Founded in 1577 by Fray Juan Clemente, Franciscan lay
brother. Located in Intramuros. Medical students of UST trained in San Juan de
Dios until the second world war.

sustained by just 352 private patient beds, of which the resulting revenues support and delimit the
extent of charity to the sick and poor in the clinical or charity beds

prescription, controlled,regulated dangerous) and medical
supplies to in patients for all orders of standing order
medications, stat orders, PRN orders, bulk preparations, IV
fluids

medications are dispensed in a ready to administer form as much as possible. No more
than 24 hours supply of doses is delivered or available at a time, and a patient drug profile
is maintained.
