The extent to which an individual does not have 3 or more of the
following resources:
Financial Having the money to purchase goods and services
Emotional Having the ability to choose and control emotions
Mental Having the skills to deal with daily life (reading, math etc.)
Spiritual Having hope and future story, divine purpose
Physical Having physical health & mobility
Support Systems Having friends & family in time of need
Relationships/Role Models Having frequent access to adults
who do not engage in self-destructive behaviors
