 INTRODUCTION
We have heard the word duwende, kapre, maligno
and third eye many times before and there was a point
in our lives that we believed that they exist but the
question is do we really understand its true meaning and
nature? Do we even know what they really are? Do we
know if the really exist? If yes, what are the proofs? If
no, how can we say that they didnt?
 OBJECTIVES
The objective of the study is to provide information
about the existence of duwende, kapre, malign, and third eye.
It is to know if these things really exist. It also provides
information about the true nature of these things.
 SCOPE AND LIMITATION
This study will just focus on knowing what
duwende, kapre, maligno and third eye are and to know
if they really exist. It is only limited in knowing if
these creatures really exist and its explanation, any
further discussions is not included in this study.
 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
This study will help Christians, especially the new
ones, to know if duwende, kapre, maligno and third eye do
really exist, which have an impact in a Christian life. This
may also make other Christians, who lack knowledge in this
area and study, know more things about the said study.
 DEFINITION OF KEY TERMS
Sixth Sense - means by which we acquire information through any
sense other than the five basic senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, and
hearing) or other well-documented scientific physiological senses.
Third Eye - refers to the gate that leads to inner realms and spaces of
higher consciousness.
Kapre - is a Philippine mythical creature that could be characterized as
a tree giant. It is described as being a tall (7 to 9 ft), dark, muscular
creature.
Duwende - are goblins, hobgoblins, elves or dwarfs. They are little
creatures who can provide good fortune or bad fate to humans.
Maligno - is a creature that divides into two groups the good and bad.
Filipino believed that maligno is leaving in the forest and old tress.
Familiar Spirits - is a demon that is summoned by a medium, with the
intention that the spirit summoned will obey his or her commands.
DISCUSSION
What is Third eye?
In yoga text, having third eye is the
ability to see beyond the normal human eye can,
or does, above ordinary sensory perception, and
observation. Other say that third eye is the
ability to see "dead people," and/or communicate
with the spirit world.
What are Kapre, Dwende and Maligno?

Kapre, duwende and maligno are some of

the famous mythical creatures here in the
Philippines. They are known to be used to
frighten children especially those who live in
remote areas or secluded places in provinces.
Do third eye, kapre, duwende and maligno really exist?
It is truly possible to see the spirits or the
ghosts through third eye. Those attempting to
contact the dead, even to this day, usually have some
sort of spirit guide who communicates with them.
These are familiar spirits. They act as a medium
for human to communicate with the dead. A medium
is one who acts as a link to supposedly contact or
communicate with the dead on behalf of the living.
In reality, mediums are contacting demons who
convince the mediums that they are familiar and
can be trusted and believed.
As said in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, NIV. "And no
wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It
is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants
of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
To knowingly open oneself to the work of demons is an evil
thing: "Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or
daughter in [a] fire, who practices divination or sorcery,
interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is
a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who
does these things is detestable to the LORD" (Deuteronomy
18:10-12a).
What does the bible say about third eye?
According to Leviticus 19:31 Do not rely on mediums and
psychics, for you will be defiled by them. I, the Lord, am your
God.
And based on Leviticus 20:27, A man or a woman who is a
medium or a necromancers shall be surely be put to death. They
shall be stoned with stones; their blood shall be upon them.
The only sixth sense that we need is the Holy Spirit, nothing
else.
How about the kapre, duwende and maligno?
1 John 4:1,4, NKJV. Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits,
whether they are of God. . . You are of God, little children, and have overcome
them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
James 4:7-8, NKJV. Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee
from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Psalm 91:9-11, NKJV. For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep
you in all your ways. They shall bear you up in their hands, lest you dash your
foot against a stone.
Romans 8:31, NKJV. If God be for us, who can be against us?
 CONCLUSION
It is true that duwende, kapre, maligno
and third eye exist. But they are not in the form
of what we thought they would be.
 RECOMMENDATION
Building a strong spiritual life by praying and fasting.
Avoiding things like watching horror movies or entertaining yourself
into electronic media that make you believe in evil things.
Having a spirit-filled life.
Having no fear but in the Lord and trusting Him.
Seeking guidance to the Lord and He will give you the light for knowing
the truth.
Having pure and undivided devotion to Christ.
Reading and studying the Bible continually. Meditating on it day and
night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. (Joshua 1:8)
