change the way they view themselves in American society and the way
they interact with the dominant culture.

Asians are portrayed as smart and in a sense, I feel that if I don't do
well in school, then I am subpar and inadequate

I would generally either fit into the stereotypes people had of me/Asian
Americans or the perception they had built before even meeting me,
just to try to fit in and make friends with no issues
Conclusion
Most People believe the media does not accurately represent media,
yet believe the stereotypes portrayed.

Stereotypes alienate certain groups of people.
