Overview & status of ITER Anil K. Bhardwaj et al. The cryostat main
Cryostat manufacturing [2]. sections/components are
manufactured and assembled in
three stages: (i) factory
fabrication of segments/sectors
of the main sections, (ii) sub-
assembly of sections at the ITER
site temporary workshop and (iii)
assembly in the tokamak pit.
Title Author contribution
The structure analysis of Liang Chaoa et al. This paper researches the dynamic structure
ITER cryostat based on the [3] strength of the ITER cryostat during the
finite element method operation of TOKAMAK. Firstly the paper
introduces the types of loads and the
importance of every type load to the research.
Then it gives out the method of building model
and principle of simplified model, boundary
conditions and the way of applying loads on the
cryostat. Finally the author discussed the
analysis result and the strength questions of
cryostat, also, the author pointed out the
opinions according to the analysis results.
A conceptual design of H.K. Park et al. The conceptual design of the ITER tokamak assembly
tools (focused sector sub-assembly tools and in-pit
assembly strategy & [4] assembly tools) has been developed for the upending
dedicated tools for tool, the sector sub-assembly tool, the sector lifting
assembly of 40 sector tool, the VV support and bracing tool and in-pit
assembly tools based on the design concept
suggested by the ITER organization. Design works of
assembly tools have been successfully performed to
meet the current assembly requirements for 2 years.

Structural analysis of ITER K.O. Nama et al. [5] To verify structural
sub-assembly tools stabilities of the sector
sub-assembly tools in
terms of strength and
deflection, ANSYS code was
used for linear static
analysis. The results of the
analysis show that these
tools are designed with
sufficient strength and
stiffness. The conceptual
designs of these tools are
briefly described in this
paper

Cadarache in Europe at Cadarache, as a nuclear facility
according to the French regulation with
demonstrated and validated seismic hazard,
warranties a low level of project risk. Position of
nuclear buildings has been optimized to reduce
seismic hazard at the basemat. Moreover, in
order to minimize constraints on the equipment,
it is proposed to use aseismic bearings for the
tokamak building
