What is the cause of Cavitations inside the Pump?

Oil vapor bubble are created in the hydraulic pump due to a

vacuum in the pump inlet. The bubbles are carried through the
pump, as pressure increases they implode (collapse rapidly)
when exposed to the high pressure.
SO Cavitations causes: Restriction at the pump inlet.
Intake hose too small.
Reservoir be too low.

A vacuum in High pressure will

pressure as oil is compress the bubbles
drawn into pump creating extreme
form the vapor or air pressure causing the
bubbles. buzzing noise

What is the cause and deficiency of Aeration?

Aeration is air entering the hydraulic system on the inlet side

of the hydraulic pump.
The air when compressed at the pump causes air cushions
through out the system. This is the results in loss of actuator
control and over heating

So Cause of Aeration:
1. Loose clamps around pump
Stable inlet pipe.
Normal 2. Loose hose fittings (return
lines)
3. Fluid level low.

Unstable
4. Oil level is below the return
movement line.
Aeration
5. Faulty pump shaft seal
