• The Supreme Student Government is the foremost co-curricular student organization
authorized to operate and implement pertinent programs, projects and activities in
schools nationwide.
• It lays the groundwork for good governance, volunteerism , unity and cooperation
• It trains students to become better member of society in accordance with better member
of society in accordance with ideals of participatory democracy and good citizenship.
• ADVISORSHIP of the SSG/SPG shall be equivalent to one teaching load
as per RA4670
• The SPG/SSG Advisers shall be endorsed to the School Head from among the three (3)
teacher-nominees submitted by the newly elected SPG/SSG
• Adviser shall have the ff; qualifications: 1) with experience in organizational
management; w/good character in the school and community; competent, able and
willing to work with the student leaders in planning to implementation of Project,
Programs and Activities.
• To ensure representation across all year levels in light of the K to 12 Program, the
Department has formulated additional guidelines to DepEd Order No.47 s. 2014 to
include Grades11 and 12 in the organization and election of SSG

March 13, 2018 For Integrated SHS, Adviser currently must be :
• a JHS or SHS with permanent status
• have had direct involvement with SPG or both but not of the school
where the Teacher is nominated, school based organization as a
member or officer or both, community or NGO or both.
• Must be non-partisan and not related to any of the candidates within
the second degree of consanguinity or affinity
