 Flashing of 11 KV O/G Feeder Panel C.T.
 Failure of Protection System due to Fire.
 Shortage of Staff for Proper Vigilance.
 Frequent Trippings due to inadequate 11 KV O/G
Feeders Maintenance.
 GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION OF SITE

 The Grid Station is located in Neela (Bhagwal) a

village of District Chakwal located at a distance of

240 KM away from Islamabad.

 All the Logistics and other Resources were to be

arranged from Islamabad, as they were not available

at site.
 RESCUE OPERATION
After receiving Telephonic Call from SSO Incharge of the Grid
Station A.E (T) Chakwal and undersigned rushed towards the
site without loss of any time besides informing to Rescue 1122
and Fire Brigade to reach at site from Chakwal about 120 K.M
from the Grid Station. Rescue Operations were started and Fire
was brought in to control through Fire Brigade, without any loss
of human life .
 First of All Power Supply of affected area was restored from
Near By Grid Station through 11 KV Feeders passing in its
vicinity.
 It was not possible to re-utilize the damaged/ burnt equipment,
that’s why the required material for restoration of Power Supply
was got allocated from Wah Store on emergent Basis and
Managed shifting of same at site with the help of a Gang
arranged from SS&TL Division Islamabad.
 After Mobilizing the Staff at site Parallel activities like
Dismantling of damaged equipments, Civil Works required for
R&M / White wash of the affected 11 KV Room were also
 ALLOCATION/SHIFTING OF MATERIAL & STAFF

 Total material was got allocated and shifted to site of

work

 Necessary logistic services including crane/trucks

etc, were dispatched to site.

 T&I and P&I staff was mobilized to the site of work

for inspection and evaluation of Materials

 WORK MANAGEMENT

 After doing all necessary arrangements, I personally

reached at site to supervise the Rescue
Operations/Rehabilitation work on Emergent Basis.
04 x Gangs were established assigning the
following duties:
Gang-I: To assist the labour already
engaged on dismantling of
damaged/burnt equipment.
Gang-II: This Gang was assigned the task to
shift the healthy equipment in the control
and switch room.
 WORK MANAGEMENT
Gang-III: 3rd Gang was assigned the task of
Installation and coupling of the
equipments.
Gang-IV: This Gang was assigned the task of
cabling Work as well as termination of Control
Cables and the last and the final gang
comprising the staff of P&I &
T&I were
assigned to carry out the
testing work in
parallel.
 ACHIEVEMENTS
 Entire work was completed on accelerated basis while utilizing the

best Managerial Skills through Parallel Activities making full use of

Precious Time. The Power Supply was restored from the affected

Grid within a Record Time of 18 Hrs through hectic efforts of

A.E (T) Chakwal A.E (M) Maintenance and their Gangs.

 CEO IESCO has awarded COMMENDATION CERTIFICATE to Me

and My Team for our Whole Hearted Efforts.
