Raquel The purpose of the study is to give knowledge and understanding on how do extroverts, ambiverts, and introverts respond and coincide through their academic performances and informing also others how do their respected personalities really affect their performances and activities inside the school premises. This was done by gathering data about their performance level in different academic sections. Conducting survey is the most used assay to evaluate the Grade 12 Senior High School students that correspond to their personalities and academic performances. As a result, the questions provided in the survey questionnaires were related on how students bring off their academic performances through the level of what personality type they being exerted in the class. In that they can get lower or higher grades whether what effort they had done due for being extroverted, ambiverted, or introverted students. A group of 100 students were used as variable control. Results show that 44% of the respondents are extroverts which interpreted as high academic performers, 37% are ambiverts as average performers, and 19% are introverts which stated as low academic performers. Most of the people are living in the world that has different personalities with different ways of living. Living in such the way on who they are, what they want to portray and different aspects of life aiming to live in their own view of success. Everyone has a goal but someone like to oppose them and some in their inner selves. Developing their own selves into progressive one but somewhat bring them down. Their personalities identify who they really are – having the own will if they want to do such thing confidently. The students’ way of behaving through things and other people that also having different personalities truly affected in terms of interaction mostly in doing activities inside the school premises. Researchers aim to know the effects of being an introvert, extrovert or ambivert of the students through their academic level of performance. The researchers want to understand as well as how many students have these kinds of personality and if their kind of behavior helps them to achieve their aim of having high grades through their performances inside the classroom. This study can only be done by using and collectingquantitative data. 1. What is the demographic profile of the respondent in terms of: 1.1. Age, 1.2. Gender, and 1.3 Year Level 2. What is the extent of the respondents’ personalities? 2.1 Extrovert 2.2 Ambivert 2.3 Introvert 3. What is the extent of academic performance of the respondents? 3.1 Extrovert’s Academic Performances 3.2 Ambivert’s Academic Performances 3.3 Introvert’s Academic Performances
4. Is there any significant difference between academic
performances of students and the personality of being introvert, ambivert and extrovert? The research study used causal-comparative design. It is used to seek on finding relationship between the effects of Extrovert, Introvert, and Ambivert personality and on the academic performances of Grade 12 – Senior High School students. It attempts to determine the cause and effect from the dependent and independent variable. The researchers used a simple random sampling to select 100 participants to answer the questions given by the researchers to know where they belong among personalities: Introvert, Extrovert and Ambivert. These informants were came from Senior High School – Grade 12 students of Our Lady of Fatima University, Quezon City Campus. Simple Random Sampling Technique is the most used probability sampling technique to complete the data. This study used survey questionnaires to collect quantitative data. The researchers provide 100 pieces of 10-item yes-or-no survey questionnaires as a medium of collecting data information from the participants. The questions were close-ended questions to limit the answer and insights of the respondents. 2.1 Ambivert’s Academic Performances
They are AVERAGE ACADEMIC PERFORMER
which ranging within 37.84%- 86.49% of the 37 total ambiverted respondents who answered yes in 10 item questionnaires. What is the extent of academic performance of the respondents?
2.1 Introverts Academic Performances
They are LOW ACADEMIC PERFORMERS which
ranging within 0% - 42. 11 % of the 19 total introverted respondents who answered yes in 10 item questionnaires. Summary of the Findings Is there any significant difference between academic performances of students and the personality of being introverted, ambiverted, and extrovert?
The respected personalities of every respondent truly affect
their academic performances. The number of “yes” answers of every student identifies what personality they have and how their demonstrated personality affects their academic performances. Their kind of living really affected on what personality they have mostly in schools where different students are there also having different personalities compiling in one- single classroom.
Different personalities can affect the academic
performances of students. Being extroverted, ambiverted, or introverted students sometimes cause negative effects resulting low grades and sometimes also they got high grades This research also tends to conclude the results that extroverted students highly performed in class mostly in expressing their ideas in group activities and performances and they can socially interact with others during group performances.
Introverts are tend to be low academic performer where
they can get low grades by expressing themselves in academics mostly in oral reporting and grade recitation. They are not confident to express his/her learning to others they always tend to be hide it to their inward selves. Lastly, ambiverted students are the mixture of extroverts and introverts. They are the students who performed enough in class sometimes they get high grades and sometimes not but most of the time are average grades. It is recommended that the future researchers enlarge their population sample. However, it has been observed that not only to have an equal gender distribution but also to expand or to wider the range of age and year level (strands) for better comparison on every respondents. This would allow the investigator to make more specific and exact interpretations on the data work. Second, it is also suggested to use other or more questions about their academic performances adding the word “confidently or perform well” to measure the level of their personality whether they be extroverted, ambiverted, or introverted such how they will express themselves with their performances. Next, in terms of respondents involved are most female students than male students which it is very common for even female and male students have differ in expressing themselves in academic performance their demonstrated personalities. Thus, the result shows the female students are more likely to be affected in expressing themselves through academic performances. Also students on STEM have greater number than on ABM. The researchers also recommend to uses also GAS and HUMSS students as respondents to show where these four strands are more for being extroverted, ambiverted, and introverted students.
