ANGEL, Patrick James B. The Problem and Its Setting
The problem is the something that indicates the
value of the research. It is being attempted to be solved in the research. The setting explains the environment how the problem happens. Introduction
The introduction of the study or research work is the
part which introduces the reader to the topic investigated. Using few sentences, it is in this part that the writer tries to arise the interest of the reader and convince them that the research is worth reading. Theoretical Framework
This is the logical representation of the theory or
theories that is or are linked to each of the variables of the study which serves as the fundamental structure of the thesis. Conceptual Framework
On the other hand, the study is based on concepts,
then the research uses a conceptual framework. Operational Framework
This is the schematic framework of the research
study that shows the interrelationship among variables of the research. Statement of the Problem
It results from a felt need.
It must reflect a noteworthy contribution to knowledge. It must be within the researcher’s competence and interest. It must be within the resources of the investigator with reference to time, money and workability. Statement of the Hypothesis
The hypotheses are intelligent tentative answers to
the problems. Explanatory problems do not need hypothesis, only decision –making problems. Assumptions of the Study
The assumptions are premises which serve as the
starting points of the study. These are statements which are accepted as true and need not to be proven. Scope and Delimitation
The scope and delimitation of the study aligns and
focuses the research in the desired and expected perspective. location, time frame, included and excluded variables, unit of analysis Significance of the Study
This section evaluates the merits of the findings of
the study. This explains why the study is important and how it can contribute to the society. Definition of Terms
Only key words in the title and the problem are
defined. Conceptual Definition gives the term’s universal meaning. Operational Definition specifies how it is manipulated by the researcher or how it is measured.
