Elements of Multimedia • Graphics/Images Are part of the visual presentation materials. It displays information graphically, which can not be expressed in letters and words. A visual representations of person, a scene, an object, or anything that is visible or can be imagined. Sometimes it can be referred to as a picture, or a photograph. It is best in showing timetables, conceptual frameworks, and timelines. Examples: o Charts , Graph, Diagrams, Figures, and Tables. Are extremely efficient way of delivering information. Sounds are can be transmitted through a solid, liquid, or gaseous. Elements of Multimedia • Animation Is the interactive component of a multimedia presentation/applications. Involves movements of characters, pictures, objects, and even text over a calculated time. It shows dynamic changes in an object from one state to another. It can also referred to a tutorial program. It is categorized as an educational simulation software. Form of Animation • Virtual Reality Is specializes in creating a computer-generated environment of a real or imaginary system and enables users to perform operations on a virtual system using a specialized devices. it is a computer-generated environment where the users can explore and operate. • Social simulations or role plays Typically used in soft skill-based courses to enable students to learn strategies that require the use of reasoning, intuition, or perception to solve problem and help them reflect on their success. It is a type of video, which involves the user in problem solving or portray a certain character. Videos are commonly used for promoting television shows, or other media that traditionally use trailer in their advertising.
