graphics and charts, informs people about an event, or tells something about a people.
 It is considered the keystone to make other multimedia elements work.
 It serves as the connection among the other elements that make up the presentation.
Elements of Multimedia
• Graphics/Images
 Are part of the visual presentation materials.
 It displays information graphically, which can not be expressed in letters and words.
 A visual representations of person, a scene, an object, or anything that is visible or can
be imagined.
 Sometimes it can be referred to as a picture, or a photograph.
 It is characterized by its form, texture, line, and dimension.
Types of Multimedia Graphics
• Static Graphic
 This includes still images or graphics
with no movement at all.
 These graphics are mostly drawn by
hand or by using a stylus.
Types of Multimedia Graphics
• Animated graphic
 Is a collection of static graphics
applied with movement.
 Animated graphics involve a sudden
change in position, angle, form of a
drawing over a period of time.
 Most animated graphics are clip art
format
Types of Multimedia Graphics
• Conceptual Graphics
 Used to explain a concept, an idea, a
theory, or a relationship.
 It is best in showing timetables,
conceptual frameworks, and timelines.
 Examples:
o Charts , Graph, Diagrams, Figures,
and Tables.

• Screenshot or screen grabs
 Is a method of grabbing an image
displayed on the window of the
computer.
 It uses another application to get
screenshot from a specific window.

through a solid, liquid, or gaseous.

• Animation
 Is the interactive component of a multimedia presentation/applications.
 Involves movements of characters, pictures, objects, and even text over a calculated time.
 It shows dynamic changes in an object from one state to another.
Form of Animation
 Software simulations
 Social simulations or role plays
 Virtual Reality
 Video simulation

or cooking.
 This are videos, which intend to teach the users in doing a certaing activity.

 It is categorized as an educational simulation software.
Form of Animation
• Virtual Reality
 Is specializes in creating a computer-generated environment of a real or imaginary system
and enables users to perform operations on a virtual system using a specialized devices.
 it is a computer-generated environment where the users can explore and operate.
• Social simulations or role plays
 Typically used in soft skill-based courses to enable students to learn strategies that require
the use of reasoning, intuition, or perception to solve problem and help them reflect on
their success.
