 CORRELATION
 is a statistical tool to measure the association of
two or more quantitative variables.

 measures of the linear relationship between two

random variable x and y and is denoted by r.
 There are 3 degrees of
relationship or correlation
between two variables:
 Perfect Correlation (positive and negative)

 Some degrees of correlation (positive and

negative)

 No Correlation
 Suppose that we want to find out the relationship
between the height and weight of 20 random
students of SPAMAST Digos Campus using the
measures of correlation and the Scatterpoint
Diagram.
