Towing & Welding

1. Towing => Remove the P-shaft or Drive Shaft

2. Electric Welding=> Must disconnect the TCM connector

High Temp.
■ High Level : Firm, Rough Shifting
23
Cold Oil Check

■ Park the vehicle on the flat road

■ Apply the service brake

■ Engine start and operate the engine, at least,

1 minute

■ shift “D” -> “N” -> “R” -> “N”

■ Check the idle rpm 500∼800rpm

■ Check the Oil Level with dipstick gauge

=> Between “COLD FULL”& “COLD ADD”

Att : Do not operate the T/M long time before

“hot Check”.
It may damage the T/M.
24
Hot Check

■ Park the vehicle on the flat road

■ Apply the service brake
■ Engine start and operate the engine
till the nomal Operation(71℃∼93℃)
■ shift “D” -> “N” -> “R” -> “N”

■ Check the idle rpm 500∼800rpm

■ Check the oil level with dipstick gauge,

minimum
2times
=> Between “HOT FULL”& “HOT ADD”

25
Oil Cleanness

■ Maintain Oil cleanness

- Antifreezing solution & Engine Coolant must not be mixed with T/M oil

- Antifreezing solution & Engine Coolant with Ethylene Glycogen cause T/M

internal Problem( Cluch plate broken)

26
Oil & Filter Change

■ Drain the Oil

- Sump Temp. 71℃∼93℃ Drain : Low Density, Faster, Much more

※ Only Filter Replacement : Oil not drain

■ Replacement of Filter

- Do not use Air Tool

=> Torque : 51 ∼ 61 N.m

- Drain Plug Oring

Replacement

=> Torque : 25 ∼ 32 N.m

27
Oil Lever Sensor

Oil Level Check:

• Push both and at
• Key On
• “ N” position
• 60~104 deg C sump temp check
• two digits : OL: OK, LO, HI
• Low and High indicate liter

Allison TranSynd Fluid Benefits (Compared to other
non-synthetic and synthetic fluids)

•More chemically and physically stable

than other oils
•Provides superior wear resistance
•Extends drain intervals
•Resists oxidation
•Resists sheardown (higher cooler flow)
•Improved viscosity stability (clutch
capacity and wear)

Gears, bearings, bushings, clutches, thrustwashers and other

components benefit from improved viscosity stability and cooler lube
oil.
30
Diagnostic Code Check

1. Safety check before Diagnostic

• Parking the vehicle on the safe place
• Apply Brake
2. Check the error code : “Check Trans” on
• Push up(), down () button at the same time
- Once : oil level
- Twice : Error Codes
- 2 digits appear
• ‘MODE’ Button : Next Code (Max 5 codes)

31
Diagnostic Code Check

3. Deletion of Error Code

• Push the Mode Button till “LED” Flash for 3 seconds
• ‘CHECK TRANS’ will be off
• After T/S, error codes will be deleted automatically

Attention: All error codes should be recorded before deletion,

this will supply the key clause for the next T/S.

32
Stall Test

150rpm above: T/M Slip

Vehicle stall rpm 150rpm below : Engine power Check

High Oil temp

within 30seconds
