 INTRODUCTION

The Bank of Punjab was established in


1989.The Bank of Punjab is working with a network of almost
280 branches a tall over major locations in the Punjab. BOP
has 406 branches, strategically located 194 cities of the
country with 274 ATMs. The Bank of Punjab started
functioning of its first branch of 7-Egerton
Road, Lahore on November 15, 1989 and skp railway road
branch in which I do my project was establish in 1996.

 MARKETING STRATEGY

The Marketing strategy of BOP is to


find potential customers. They market their products through
many ways. They have broachers and they seldom give
advertisement in television and in newspaper for the purpose
of promotion. As BOP is a public bank so they don’t invest
much in advertisement.

o Firstly it is Supported by Punjab Government, or funded by


the Punjab Government, it build people trust.
o BOP has very sound financial strength as compare to others
bank.
o BOP in a strength because it have Government Deposit as
compare to others

 WEAKNESS

o Poor performance of the employees because most the


employee did not communicate with the managers related to
task issue or for effective planning.
o Traditional approach Because BOP is still using old method
for working and for documentation.
o BOP has good product and service but it cannot participate in
promoting its product on electronic media. Less promotion
activities.
o Poor customers dealing as compare to other banks, employee
did not behave with consumers in sweat manners.

o Due to huge Government Deposit BOP has the opportunity to


expand its network in remote areas.
o BOP has opportunity it is earning commission on Government
Transaction.

 THREATS

o Modern marketing concept, efficient service adopt by the


competitors are also threat to BOP.
o Punjab roles and regulation, the changing trend in Punjab
Government policies also become threat to BOP.
