Is it Important?

It is important to have opinion on almost every thing in Life.

That reflects the knowledge, awareness ,versatility ,exposure ,
and top it all application of knowledge. One can take that
almost all subjects are 50% common sense and other 50%
could be that discipline. Of course there are exceptions where
common sense may not be helpful to that extent in fields like
medicines, rocket science etc., unless one is from such
specialized fields. One can be participative to contribute and
one needs to be probing to understand before being
understood. If a person is not having opinion and plays safe
being neutral that does not really help as the person may not
be taken seriously. Another aspect is one should not always be
highly opinionated and should be able to present a balanced
view though finally taking a side.

How to ask for someone’s opinion in
English?
• “What do you think?”
• “What’s your view?”
• “How do you see the situation?”
• “What’s your opinion?”
Agreeing with an opinion
• You’re absolutely right.
• Yes, I agree.
• I think so too.
• That’s a good point.
• Exactly.
• I don’t think so either.
• So do I.
• I’d go along with that.
• That’s true.
• Neither do I.
• I agree with you entirely.
• That’s just what I was thinking.
• I couldn’t agree more.
Disagreeing with an opinion
• That’s different.
• I don’t agree with you.
• However…
• That’s not entirely true.
• On the contrary…
• I’m sorry to disagree with you, but…
• Yes, but don’t you think…
• That’s not the same thing at all.
• I’m afraid I have to disagree.
• I’m not so sure about that.
• I must take issue with you on that.
• It’s unjustifiable to say that…
