Who is
whistleblower ?
• Whistleblowers are people who inform
others about unethical or illegal activities.
• Not just involve what the government
does, but also what your employer and
even your colleagues may be doing.
• As simple as a colleague stealing office
supplies.
• Whistleblower get certain immunities and
protections for exposing a scandal.
• Be brave and step forward.
1. Employees have the right and the
responsibility to identify and report concerns
about improper activities at work
• Employees are encouraged to discuss with a manager, or to the
Employee Concerns Office, or report them anonymously.
• 7 enforcement agencies you can contact:
• the Royal Malaysian Police,
• the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission,
• the Royal Malaysian Customs Department,
• the Immigration Department,
• the Road Transport Department,
• the Companies Commission of Malaysia,
• and the Securities Commission.

because the positives don’t outweigh the

• keep a record of relevant conversations and
enlisting allies to support you if things go

2010 for your protection aid.
4. Handling of the violation reports
• Employees are encouraged to firstly
contact their direct manager or higher
management.
• Company must encourage their
employees to come forward and report
perceived wrongdoing internally.
• Must work towards creating a speak up
culture.

• Such acts as harassment, intimidation, or
threats cannot be done
