 One of the oldest and reputed research station

 Was located in sylvan surroundings of Dakota


away from the din of the city

 Consisted of two research firms

• Dr. Sharma (Head)

• Dr. Verma (Scientist in Charge)

• Mr. Singh (Farm Superintendent)

• Mr. Saxena (Farm Manager, Main farm)

• Mr. John (Farm Manager, New farm)

• Mr. Ganguly (Stores Keeper)


Character Analysis of Dr.Sharma

He was simple, hardworking but was always exploited by


his colleagues for getting invariable favors from him which
includes selling seeds in black market.

He was regarded as good scientist but was very much prone
to mood swings. He used to enjoy his legitimate power.

 He was not an efficient head of the orgnization.


Character Analysis of Dr.Verma

He took undue advantage of Mr. Sharma’s simplicity.

He had a fetish for power and authority.

Dr. Verma always endorsed favouritism.

He was not punctual, selfish and exploitive in nature.

He was not able to manage his peers.


Character Analysis of Mr.Singh
He was honest, outspoken and hard working person.

He was open to any kind of suggestions on improvements in the farm


activities from anyone in his organization.

He was a very level headed person.

He was very efficient.

He was not only a loyal employee but also he always used to raise his
voice whenever he found his other colleagues indulging in malpractices.

Inspite of all the unfavourable circumstances prevailing at work and being


terribly helpless, Mr. Singh did not walk away from his responsibilities.

 As per vertical specialization, the subordinates


always have to obey their seniors.

 Inter personal conflict between Mr.Singh &


Dr.Verma

 No work ethics

 Sudden change of Singh’s fortune

 Job Boundary was not well defined

 As the Scientist Farm In Charge Dr.Verma


felt short of expectations
Short Term Solution

 Every one’s job needs to be well defined.

 An internal audit is needed.

 Everyones role should be revised, it needs to be checked


that if they are suitable for their job or not. If not then their
position should be changed.

 Their was absolutely no contact between the Labourers &


the Head or the Board of governors
Long Term Solution

 Create a new vertical to implement HR practices.

Board of governors should become more active and should look after
what is happening down the ladder.

 Work culture was not good in the organisation so board of governors


should take some actions.
