GBV INITIATIVES AND ACTIVITIES?

• Under the human rights program the organization


advocate and raise awareness activities on fighting

gender based violence, the young women Christian


association(YWCA )also conducts outreach activities in
communities on various topical issues affecting the
women, children and the vulnerable
• We also have the school outreach program which involve
the students to spearhead as they are the most affected
and media sensitization.

• As much as we are mitigating gender based
violence against women and children, we

work with men as change agents to prevent


gender based violence under the young
women Christian association (YWCA )men’s
network program.
• As for women we have program with the school
which is called the safe space looking at the
fight against gender based violence (GBV)

• The organization has human resource and


material resources to conduct gender based

cooperating partner. eg international donors
like the UN TRUST FUND.

• YWCA has successfully managed to


establish main drop in centre's in 8 of

• We have received on average 1500 cases
in a year
