Delivery Priority
After requirements have been created and an availability check has been issued in the sales order, the delivery priority can be used as a sort criterion to:
Reallocate committed stock based on delivery priority during rescheduling. Create deliveries in a delivery due list.
Low Priority
High Priority
Backorders
When are Sales Orders Backordered?
The delivery date of the confirmed quantity and the confirmed delivery quantity are very important for the inventory sourcing process because the item is automatically placed in backorder processing if:
The confirmation status for an order is not completed. A confirmed quantity cannot be determined in the availability check.
Backorders (continued)
Backorder Processing can be executed in one of two ways
Automatically with rescheduling
Backorders (continued)
- Rescheduling
Rescheduling is an automatic process that checks the availability of each line item and determines a new availability date if necessary. When rescheduling is executed, the following options are available:
j The orders can be sorted according to delivery priority. j If the confirmation date has passed, rescheduling tries to confirm the quantities by executing the availability function. j When the availability check is performed, the system automatically copies the results to the sales orders.
Backorders
- Backorder Processing (Manual)
Backorder processing is a manual process of reallocating stock from one sales order to another.
j Stock allocated and confirmed for one sales order can be moved manually to another sales order. j You should use an availability check indicator in which requirements are processed individually. This makes the sales order number visible on the backorder processing screen
