Life Expectancy
According to the Population Reference Bureau's 2000 World Data Sheets, life expectancy at birth for Indians is between 60 and 61 years. IT is consider as a most important indicator for the health status in society In 1970-1975 , Life expectancy of U.P is only 43 but 1995 it had improved to 58.4 , for male if 58.9 and for female is 57.7 Urban people life five year more than rural people

The department has been involved in service of Mankind since its very inception in 1921.
