Corporate Social Responsibility : Airbus - joined Honeywell and Jet Blue Airways to reduce pollution and oil dependence. Airbus ran on 60 percent kerosene and 40 percent gas to liquids (GTL) fuel. It did not cut carbon emissions, but it was free of sulphur emissions. The airline industry - responsible for about 11 % of greenhouse gases. Boeing estimates that bio-fuels could reduce flight-related greenhouse-gas emissions by 60 to 80 percent. The solution would be blending algae fuels with existing jet fuel.
