Maldives is a tiny island nation with nearly 1196 islands

with 200 inhabited islands, situated in Indian Ocean. The Maldives is very popular country among tourists nearly 600,000 tourists visits Maldives per year.

DRUG ABUSE IN MADLIVES

There is no available evidence to suggest traditional use of drugs in Maldives


In the Maldives, drug trafficking and drug abuse has risen in recent years largely due to increased exposure to the outside world

problems.

However, due to increase of drug abuse and overcrowding in one place

led many social problems in capital male and other islands, such as housing problems and divorce.

All other social problems are also very much related to other social

issues. For example drug abuse may cause gang violent and as a result of over crowding to one place may cause lack of home. This result in increasing the number of people who lives in street, and increase the number of jobless people in that particular community. also will live in streets due to lack of love and care they receive. And the fact there is no one to guide them to the right path.
